John Darbonne has thirty feature films to his credit, as well as hundreds of commercials, music videos, and corporate videos. His roles include writer, producer, director, cinematographer and editor, and his client list includes Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, National Lampoon, Intel, Sketchers, Lincoln Mercury and Hyundai.

In 2018, John won the West Field Screenwriter's Award for the best episodic script, best of the festival in the screenplay division at the Royal Wolf Film Festival and Pinnacle Film Festival Awards, and was a finalist in the London Short Series for The Cottages. Also, he won best short script at the Royal Wolf Film Festival. As well as best film, director, and editor in multiple film festivals.
